Qualified Locksmith

Reports to: Customer Service Supervisor / Head of Business Development

Compensation: KYD $20.00 – $25.00 per hour

Primary Purpose of the Role
The Qualified Locksmith is responsible for delivering professional, efficient and secure locksmithing services across commercial, residential, automotive and safe/vault environments. The position plays a critical role in supporting TSCL’s service operations, hospitality-sector clients, and field-based technical teams. 

Key Responsibilities:

Locksmithing Operations 

  • Install, maintain and repair a broad range of lock and access hardware, including master key systems and key control frameworks.
  • Conduct safe and vault servicing, including installations, emergency openings, combination changes and complex troubleshooting.
  • Deliver commercial, residential and automotive locksmithing services, inclusive of emergency lockout responses.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics and scheduled inspections to ensure security assets remain reliable and compliant.

Hospitality & Hotel Sector Support:

  • Provide specialised support to hotel and resort clients, including digital lock systems guestroom access devices, back-of-house systems and key-card configurations.
  • Work collaboratively with hospitality maintenance teams to resolve access issues promptly and maintain continuity of guest services.
  • Uphold TSCL’s high standards of professionalism and discretion when operating in customer-facing environments.

Technology & Systems Administration:

  • Utilise internal software platforms to manage work orders, update service records and track inventory usage
  • Perform basic configuration and support for access control technologies and digital lock management tools
  • Use mobile service applications and digital documentation tools in alignment with internal operational standards.

Technical & Field Support

  • Support electronic security technicians on job sites by assisting with preparatory work, equipment handling, hardware staging and minor installation tasks as assigned.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely execution of projects and optimal customer outcomes. 

Customer Engagement & Retail Operations

  • Represent TSCL within the retail environment by responding to customer inquiries, processing service requests and providing product recommendations.
  • Maintain a consistently high standard of client service, professionalism and communication. 

Inventory & Asset Control

  • Conduct periodic stock checks, reconcile parts usage and support the Inventory Supervisor with monitoring inventory levels.
  • Ensure storage areas remain organised, labelled and compliant with internal asset management procedures.

General Duties 

  • Source parts, materials and technical components in support of operational requirements. 
  • Provide after-hours support as part of scheduled or emergency service obligations. 
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by TSCL’s management team. 

Hours of Work:
Standard working hours are 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. with a one-hour unpaid lunch between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Working hours may vary depending on operational demand, and the incumbent may be required to respond to after-hours service calls. 

Travel & Vehicle Provision:
A company vehicle is assigned to this position and must remain available for operational response on a 24/7 basis. Minimal travel to the Sister Islands may be required. 

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Certified locksmith with a minimum of five years’ experience in commercial, residential, automotive and safe/vault locksmithing.
  • Demonstrated customer service excellence, including in high-demand or hospitality environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and basic access-control or lock-management software.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to a high-performance team culture. 

Physical & Environmental Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, sit and use hands/fingers for extended periods. 
  • Capability to lift, carry and handle equipment as required. 
  • Work may occur indoors and outdoors, subject to changing environmental conditions
