We have an exciting opportunity for a highly driven and motivated Electrical Control Technician to join our ever growing and dynamic team. As Electrical Control Technician, you will significantly contribute to the technical aspect of our operations and provide a consistent high-level customer service to all clients, fostering a customer centric culture throughout the Company.

You will be responsible for:

  • Servicing and installing various electronic security systems including electronic alarms, access control systems, CCTV systems and addressable/conventional fire systems.
  • Running cables, executing control panel termination and conducting device installation.
    Performing Central Station connections and system commissioning.
  • Executing routine inspections and maintenance on security systems.
  • Troubleshooting various systems as required with excellent fault-finding abilities.
  • Taking charge of new sales leads and follow-up on company-generated leads in order to execute commercial and residential sales of the company products and services.
  • Acting as an advisor of products to potential customers and providing recommendations on all company products and services.

Key qualifications and skills required:

  • Has a minimum of five years of experience in the industry.
  • This technician has a comprehensive understanding of the employer’s processes and is skilled in servicing all company-related equipment.
  • Entry Certification in Enterprise level products used by the company                                                                                       
  • Entry level IT certification                                                                                         
  • Knowledge of CCTV technologies and principles to include both analog and IP systems                                                                                         
  • Knowledge of data networking configurations, security methods, and standards                                                                                         
  • Ability to configure IP devices on a network (cameras, control panels, etc.)                                                                                   
  • Knowledge of enterprise-level VMS software applications. Certifications Genetec preferred                                                                                
  • Proficiency in the use of a PC including such programs as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-centric with the ability to quickly establish a rapport with clients.
  • Strong time management, multitasking and prioritization abilities.
  • High level of professionalism and an ability to adhere to strict confidentiality.
  • The ability to work well on own initiative with minimal supervision.
  • A clean driving license.
